Judaism 101
Classes will be held on Thursday evenings in the Board Room from 7:00-8:30 PM, beginning on October 21st, 2010. This course is designed for those who either have had little or no formal instruction in Judaism, or who may want to brush up previously learned instruction. Each class is separate and attendees who can attend weekly can be joined by those whose schedule may only allow them to drop in. History, Holidays, Hebrew, Life Cycle, Intro to Jewish Texts...along with Question and Answer Sessions will be among the subject matters offered. There is no charge, but contributions to Kol Ami are welcomed.

Provide innovative, meaningful and quality Jewish education for children, families and adults that teaches the past and ensures continuity through mastery and practice of core Jewish values including Hebrew, prayer, Torah, history, holidays, life cycle and mitzvot.

Provide all students with a fundamental, yet comprehensive awareness and knowledge of the scope of Jewish learning and Jewish living while gaining a greater awareness and knowledge of the Jewish heart and Jewish destiny.
